Most of what sells as crystal online is dyed quartz, reconstituted powder, or glass. We would rather lose the sale than pretend.

Where a stone is treated, we say so on the product page — our citrine is heat-treated amethyst, which is how nearly all citrine on earth reaches a shop, and hiding it would be the only dishonest part.
